Chief Master Sergeant Kevin L. Call was appointed in July 2014 as the Command Chief Master Sergeant and Senior Enlisted Leader, National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), Chantilly, Virginia. His previous assignment was the Command Chief, 673d Air Base Wing, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska. Chief Call serves as the principal advisor to the Director of the National Reconnaissance and senior staff on matters relating to the professional development, military readiness, and mission effectiveness of enlisted personnel assigned to the NRO in numerous locations across the globe.
Chief Call grew up in Tionesta, Pennsylvania, and entered the Air Force in January 1988. He completed technical training as an administration specialist and has built a vast breadth of leadership experience within the cyberspace operations career fields. His assignments include bases in New York, California, Germany, the Pentagon, Washington D.C., Massachusetts, and Alaska. Chief Call has deployed during Operations DESERT STORM, SOUTHERN WATCH, IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM.
Among the many awards and decorations received by Chief Call during his Air Force career are the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with six Oak Leaf Clusters, the Air Force Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Commendation Medal, the Air Force Achievement Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, and the Air Force Recognition Ribbon.
Chief Master Sergeant Kevin L. Call holds an Associate’s Degree in Information Management from the Community College of the Air Force, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from University of Phoenix, and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from University of Phoenix.
