CHIEF MASTER SERGEANT JOHN F. BENTIVEGNA

Chief Master Sergeant John F. Bentivegna is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, Air Force Element and Senior Enlisted Leader, National Reconnaissance Office, Chantilly, VA. The National Reconnaissance Office is responsible to the Secretary of Defense and Director of National Intelligence for research, development, acquisition, launch and operation of overhead reconnaissance capabilities providing the foundation for global situational awareness and responses to the nation’s toughest intelligence challenges. Chief Bentivegna is responsible to the Commander, Air Force Element, as an advisor on all Air Force personnel and resources assigned and to the Director National Reconnaissance Office for the military readiness, professional development and mission effectiveness of the organization’s joint enlisted personnel assigned in numerous locations across the globe.

Chief Bentivegna has served in both Maintenance and Space Operations career fields and has held positions at the squadron, division, group, wing and Air Staff levels. Prior to assuming his current position, Chief Bentivegna served as the Chief, Air Force Enlisted Force Development, Pentagon, Washington, D.C. He oversaw enlisted force development initiatives affecting 252,817 enlisted Airmen and was responsible for establishing plans, programs and practices by leading the formulation and implementation of long range strategic initiatives.
